About Me

British born photographer, Hammond Hagan always showed an aptitude for creativity whilst growing up, and what better place to live than the cultural metropolis of London, a creative Mecca for aspiring artists.

Hammond’s first brush with photography came, albeit on the other side of the lens, when he was first signed to Sony Records as an rnb artist. This led him in to song writing and he soon began working with high profile UK artists, winning a coveted Ivor Novello Award in 2004 for the number 1 hit “Just a Little”

Hammond took up photography initially as a hobby but soon realized he had a natural ability with the lens and an eye for detail which showed in the quality of his images. His love soon grew and Hammond became determined to master every aspect of the craft, including editing and re-touching

Hammond’s biggest influences are the masculine images and rebel iconography of the 1950s portrayed most notably by Hollywood actors James Dean and Marlon Brando. This rebelliousness is evident throughout Hammond’s body of work.

Since beginning his career, Hammond has shot numerous campaigns and is resident photographer for UK menswear brand, James Tudor London.

Hammond currently available for portrait commissions, advertising and editorial assignments.
